Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was known as a TV host, ex-chef at the Institute of Culinary Education and she was formerly an instructor of cooking. The host of her show is Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. The spiky blond hair and her energised persona Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of eating out and offers clear, easy to learn techniques to cook at home on her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell worked at top New York restaurants and studied Italian cuisine and surroundings. In addition, she appeared in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in the Upstate region of New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. She pursued her love of the industry of restaurant management by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America following her graduation in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. She says "I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a Culinary Institute Of America student. I loved every minute of it." I couldn't learn or be a better cook than I did. Chef Burrell following her graduation from The Culinary Institute for Foreigners in Italy was employed for a year in Umbria in Umbria at La Taverna del Lupo and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, the Michelin-starred restaurant. Her time spent in Italy made her more aware and appreciate Italian style of living and the culture and has made an impact on her own food and culinary experience. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which improves children who are facing obstacles and is also a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Ambassador, where she advocates for children with diabetes and awareness. She travels frequently around the nation in her capacity as a mentor and an invited speaker, where she talks about her profession and her love for cooking. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she has often said that I am blessed to be able to share what I love most within my life with other people.
